Mattie Griffin is an Integrative Health Practitioner with a broad offering of holistic services.

 

She is a SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Therapist, BodyMind Integration Therapist, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Ayurvedic Wellness Consultant. Mattie specializes in holistic trauma remediation therapies, nervous-system regulation techniques, and holistic-education workshops. Her deepest passion is empowering people toward more health and wholeness in their relationships and lives.

Mattie’s body-work modalities include SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Therapy, Psychosomatic Analysis, Emotional Release Trigger Point Therapy, as well as Deep Tissue, Prenatal, and Swedish Massage. In sessions with clients, Mattie blends these modalities, along with Classical Ayurvedic diagnostics, Bio-tapping, (EFT) breath-work, nutritional education, postural correction, and down-to-earth conversation to create a truly integrative and healing experience.

In other words, she uses her whole person to heal the whole person – body, heart, and mind. Mattie meets people right where they are – with compassion and honesty. She invites, challenges, and empowers people toward the real healing work of self-inquiry, self-knowledge, and genuine self-care. 

Education

Mattie trained as a Thai Yoga Therapist and Ayurvedic Health Consultant (1028 hr.) through the SomaVeda® College of Natural Medicine. Through this program, Mattie received training in the areas of Ayurveda, Yoga Sciences and Therapy, Pancha Karma, Oriental Medicine, Holistic Nutrition, Herbology, Environmental Medicine, Energy work, Mind-body medicine, Anatomy and Physiology, Homeopathy, Radionics, Vitalism, Naturopathic Arts/Sciences and more.

 

Currently, she is continuing her education through SomaVeda's Doctoral program to become a Doctor of Sacred Natural Medicine (DSNM.)

Mattie received her Psychosomatic Practitioner Certificate III through the Lightworker's Institute and Psychosomatic Therapy College. The Psychosomatic Therapy College's Nationally Accredited 10484NAT Certificate III in Psychosomatic Therapy is the only recognized and registered training of it's kind.

Mattie gained her license in Massage Therapy (500 hr.) from the Texas Healing Arts Institute in Austin, Tx.

 

She holds a Master's Degree in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Cincinnati. Her thesis, Mind, Body, and Meaning explored how gender-specific trauma manifests in the body.

Additionally, Mattie has studied the Enneagram as a psycho-spiritual assessment and therapeutic system through Cincinnati's School of Conscious Living. She trained as a Birth Doula through DONA International, the leader in evidence-based doula training, certification, and continuing education.

Mattie is a passionate student, devoted to life-long learning. One of her committments to her clients, students, and community is to continue to invest in her personal and professional development, in order to offer more advanced and comprehensive care to the people she serves.
